San Jose, CA - The San Jose Sharks are pleased to announce the signing of D Chris Campoli, G Jason Bacashihua and D Rob Davison. Each player was signed under the restrictions of the rookie player signings, financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

In Campoli, the Sharks believe they have a strong offensively minded defenseman for years to come. A strong emphasis has to be on his improvement on the defensive side though, but with his work ethic the coaching staff is sure they can help him in that area.

Jason Bacashihua could see himself as the back-up to Cristobal Huet this year, and possibly the Starter in the next few years. The coaching staff was really happy to lock this kid up. "Jason is on-track to be an excellent goaltender in this league, we feel he can learn alot this season as a back-up".

Rob Davison adds some depth on the back end because no season passes without some injuries on defense. Look for Davison to see some action this season in a depth role.

The team is very happy with these signings, and look to be ready for the exciting season to come after a few more moves to complete their roster.
