San Jose, California - There will be no JFJ syndrome in San Jose this year, as the Sharks have made some deals that look to improve the team now and in the future.

The first deal was made at around 4pm EST, acquiring Chris Campoli from the Florida Panthers for Brad Richardson and Trevor Daley. A few skeptics may question this deal, but GM Astles feels very confident that Chris can be the player he has the potential to be, "I know what Chris will bring to the rink every night, I have followed his career since his OHL days in Erie, his work ethic and hockey sense will be very welcomed in San Jose."

The next deal was made about 5 mins after the Campoli deal, sending Brian Pothier to the Columbus Blue Jackets in return for a 3rd round draft pick (which was originally ours). "This deal was to make room for the next deal that we completed", stated GM Dave Astles.

The next deal (pending league approval) involved the acquisition of Stephane Robidas from Colorado for farm player Jim Fahey and a 2nd round pick in 2006, Colorado stayed above the OV minimum with the deal also. "We really like Stephane and hope he can stick with us in the years to come." Robidas will also be making around 200k less than Pothier, so it will definately help out the financial situation of the team which has definately improved since the beginning of the season.

Overall, the San Jose Sharks are pleased with the happenings of the deadline and look to charge forward to the playoffs! Good luck to all in this years playoffs!

Alexander the Great (not Ovechkin!)

In other Sharks news, prospect Alexander Radulov had a bit of a party today scoring 7 goals (yes SEVEN) and recording 4 assists for 11 points this afternoon! San Jose can't wait to get their hands on this guy!
