It’s okay for Reaves to avoid Gabriel all game and go after Kane, but Kane can’t engage with a fellow skill player?

f*** those stupid idiots over there.

I wish I could say Marchessault better watch his back, but the team has to prove they have balls before that’ll happen.

Or get Kane pissed off enough to take 3 dumb penalties.
Only the hold on Pacioretty was bad, and I could understand why he did it. Vegas was throwing picks all game, and Pacioretty was on that one.

The refs should have taken Reaves off on the 2nd one by himself, and I have no issues with him taking Smith off the ice with him.

Oops. I meant next time they played.

So I wasnt able to watch, how bad are the Karlsson and Simek injuries?
EK65 didn't see him get hurt or anything. Might have been a muscle pull. They say whatever it is isn't bad. Simek must be bad with how he struggled. Dude is a warrior so I don't see him acting that way unless it's bad. Looked like a head shot to start then a bad cross check in the side of the ribs where the padding might be a little more minimal.

Nolan would get 20 games for that in this day and age. 25 because he's a Shark. I absolutely loved that Nolan did that but you can't do that in todays NHL. You just can't.
You can’t do that, but you can do something. Someone should have dropped the gloves and just started throwing there, but they all just watched.

And now you change the question yet again because you're not getting the answer you want... Dude...
I’ve never changed the question. Every time I asked if whomever felt it was winnable. The answers I kept getting from the two of you was “yes it was winnable”. That’s not what I asked so I reiterated. Go back and reread if you want.

There’s no way this was a winnable game. They weren’t a real threat to score for the large majority of the game and their defense was dreadful especially the PK. That’s just the hope and cope talking believing this was winnable.

The loss of Dillon and Goodrow looms large. I'm not a fan of acquiring goons for this sake of it but this team simply does not stick up for one another and it's reached a point where it's a legitimate problem.

This is like when GM tries to fix an issue with the team's defense by acquiring a defensive specialist. The issue isn't the lack of people who can fight, it's the culture where players don't feel compelled to defend one another. Forget about fighting; showing a player the business end of your stick or elbow doesn't take special skill...

I agree that it is disheartening. Players should be embarrassed cashing their checks for such an effort.

This. Guys are very content to just be professional hockey players in the NHL. Yeah, dont get me wrong,, that's awesome. In order to be a worth a damn TEAM you have to care on a whole nother level imo. Its not an option. Everyone has to be invested. For us as fans to sit here and question these guys commitment is pretty ballsy I admit, but its a legit concern.

We've lost games we dominate the other team far more. It's the NHL. Stupid shit happens. Game 7 was winnable.

That said, this game was not in any way, shape, or form domination by Vegas. It was mostly us kicking our own asses with our inability to string 2 plays together, which TBH was surprising but then again Vegas was missing some key players.

This exact team has taken more lopsided games to OT and won.

None of the teams we’ve dominated and lost played as poorly as we did. You’re right that it wasn’t Vegas domination but our team was and is so bad that it wasn’t winnable.
