Isolate, force Portugal to lump in crosses like the Austria or Wales games. France is good in the air so it will be very difficult.

Given the trouble they had with some of the smaller teams in this regard earlier in the tournament I can't help but feel like they'll give up a goal or two via penalty or a Ronaldo header if they defend him aggressively.

We're having the luck of champions. This game has been a toss up, but we're having all the good breaks, like we had when we won WC and Euros.

A toss up? Germany has controlled the game. they just haven't taken their chances. France didn't really create either of those chances, they just capitalized on two massive and uncharacteristic German mistakes.

Dives only occur when there has been no foul. This was embellishment.

It's not a dive nor an embellishment. He slipped and while he was going down, Gignac barely pulled his jersey (which was useless since Kimmich was going down).

Not a foul, not a dive.

Yep, the good breaks and most fit/healthiest team stands the best chance of winning the tournament. Italy got all the good breaks in 2006, Spain in 2010 and Spain in 2012.

It's evidently France's year. They just need not to **** up against Portugal the same way Portugal did against Greece

Germany has been disastrous since Boateng went off. Kimmich expected Mustafi to be in a position where Boateng would have been, but of course he wasn't.

Ronaldo has been effective on aerial balls exclusively in this Euro. I'm not worried if they can contain him in aerial balls.

Not only that, but he was good in the air against teams with lesser talented defenders. Dealing with Umtiti and Koscielny is a different kettle of fish than James Collins.

Lloris didn't have any more tough saves than Neuer.
Germany has created nothing in this game. They've passed the ball around.

Boateng injuring himself and Griezmann have been the difference in this game. And few uncharacteristic German errors.

Like I said, Germany's finishing has been poor. That doesn't mean they've created nothing. Saves aren't the way to judge dominance. For example, what does kimmich's post count as?
