I remember a couple of months ago Roc Nation Sports was pursuing Seth Jones, whatever happened to that?

Heres an article I found in the NY Post, who was the original reporter of that information.

I'm interested to see how this turned out, because I'm pretty sure this could be a game changer for the NHL.

I'm not sure how often the NHLPA website updates their Certified Player Agents page, but Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) isn't listed.

That's cause he's just a figure head. At least that's the criticism of Roc-nation. I believe howver he was recently certified to be an MLB and NBA agent

He was, so I'm not sure if your first sentence is true.

Yeah but I guess he can be a certified agent for appearance sake without actually doing anything. Not saying that's the case but just something I read.

Not sure I take the whole idea of Jay-Z being involved as a sports agent too seriously.

Kevin Durant, Robinson Cano, Victor Cruz and Geno Smith sure do.

Weird how they picked him in venturing into the NHL market.

    Actually, not it's not.

Thats because the NHL is the least popular of the 4 major sports. Much easier to market players from the NFL, NBA and MLB.

Signing with Jay Z is little overrated. Roc nation is pretty much just like any other sports agency. I really haven't seen anything Jay Z has done for his clients that other agencies couldn't have done.

Jay Z runs Roc Nation like he owned the Nets... it's mostly for show. Otherwise, it's just a normal sports agency.
