I don't know about anyone else, but I am really pumped to see the playoff intro this year.

The one in 2012 was sick and tbh I still watch it sometimes when I want to be pumped up lol

Tampa is loaded but they’ve been misfiring for a while now. For me, it’s just a matter of if they get their shit together. If they do, it’s going to take a tremendous effort to beat them. That being said, I think the Devils can actually do it. The way kinkaid is playing, NJ can give any team fits. If they do it, I think it will have to be in 6 games. So I’m going with that.

I put that on at the gym the day after we clinched lol. Went to Game 3 against Florida that year and was ready to run through a damn wall because of that intro

that was a great time …cant forget the chuck norris division when the leafs were essentially a western confrence team

Heh I'd forgotten how good it was cause it's been a while since I watched it till you brought it up. Too bad they didn't have that with the new scoreboard, would have looked even better but I do think they'll come up with something good for this go-around.

Fully expecting this to go poorly....but hoping for the best. A sweep is definitely possible. Tampa is STACKED.

Regular season H2H success means nothing.

Who cares though! Happy to be in, just wish it was the Bruins.

And the Smythe Edmonton,Calgary, Winnipeg, Vancouver, LA

The best part was 4 got in the playoffs for each Division with 5 teams...

The Patrick was the only Division with 6 teams.

When I used to tell people I liked hockey they would joke endlessly about every team making the playoffs. And I never got the joke because I always thought that was great.

Edit:. That's also why I take Roy's playoffs totals with a grain of salt. A division with Boston, Montreal, Quebec, Hartford and Buffalo meant Montreal or Boston was going to the conference finals every year.

I could care less about the head to head record during the season. I do know that the last game they played against them was easily one of the best games NJ played this entire season. They can hang with them. May not be enough to actually win but Tampa is not running away with this series either.

But at the same time, Games aren't won on Paper.

If they were, then the Bolts would've swept us in the regular season.

Really bummed we don’t get a weekend playoff game that would’ve been clutch but maybe in round 2. Devils in 5 book it

Devils win a shocker 4-1 game 1.
Tampa takes a 2 goal lead devils battle back tie it and win 4-3 in overtime
Tampa smokes devils 5-1 in game 3
Devils win 2-1 game 4 kinkaid with 40 saves
Devils cruise up 3-0 Tampa gets a goal in the third and 3-1 game 5

I loved that intro. Was damn fantastic.

I could give a rats ass about how good Tampa looks on paper. Playoff games aren’t played on paper.

We are one of the few teams that can keep up with them speed wise and it caused them trouble this year.

The idea they will walk over us is unfounded. We are built to upset teams.

So, since this team likes killing us, how many OT games do we get? 3? 4?

Over/under on how many times people say the season is over prematurely? 2? 3?
