He means 2019-20 season. People tend to shorten it to 18-19 season or 19-20 season.

On topic, I do like the way Detroit is rebuilding. For me, it's an exciting time to be part of.

I like the moves Holland has made recently and I know the playoff talk is PR to the casual fans, but it makes me nervous that Holland jumps the gun and signs a vet in the off-season or heaven forbid trades futures for a rental if we somehow sniff the faint smell of a wildcard spot.

This team isn't a result of bad luck. I hope he doesn't believe that. A team being 3rd instead of 2nd, or not winning a game 7 in triple overtime could be luck. Being only slightly better than the AHL affiliate that has taken hold in Ottawa isn't bad luck.
