Shirikov also played very well in the Canada/Russia Remax Challenge, one of the only Russian players to do so. And in that tournament, he didn't have too much help, because he wasnt playing with Radulov, Yunkov or Voloshenko.

He's got some great talent it seems. I could definitely see him being a top 2 round pick if their is an NHL draft.

I really like Shirokov. He should be a 3rd rounder this year imo.

Apparantly you didn't see him light up the lower league in Russia last year. The kid's the real deal and is very, very impressive. He's made Malkin look damn good on a few of his little tricky puck plays and Malkin's made him look damn good on some of his moves. They're BOTH good players.

I think he opted in but went undrafted as well as Plyuchev.

I can see why. He hardly had any exposure.

I don´t think so, he played regularly for Russian U-18 team at every international tourney during the last season. Even I saw him twice.
