Wow, cool to hear others have been as lucky as I have. I need to get you Okavango one of these days!
Ha, but I think I've done enough travelling in Africa. Good memories, though.
Oh man. I don't think I will ever get tired of it. The only drawback, really, is the long fight there...and the jet lag coming home. I was a drooling imbecile at the office for several days when I returned from this safari.
Lisbon to Shanghai is also a killer. I takes days to recuperate.Oh man. I don't think I will ever get tired of it. The only drawback, really, is the long fight there...and the jet lag coming home. I was a drooling imbecile at the office for several days when I returned from this safari.
Sunsets must be amazing. Golden hour.
Big red sun, Umbrella Thorn trees, all sorts of sounds...that's how i imagine it.
I haven't been to 'real' Africa yet, Sub-Saharan...i am thinking Namibia.
These are so cool, incredible.[QUOTE="Son of Donegal, post: 164729425
Nice pictures. I saw a documentary years ago about the Ngorongoro crater lions, very interesting story

Namibia is totally great as a second visit but Tanzania delivers across the board - scenery, culture, flora and fauna. It’s the total package!
VERY INTERESTING INDEED. I have always had great sighting there but those lions struggle because there isn’t enough variety in the gene pool. They are more susceptible to illness. That being said, there are some SERIOUS big males on the crater floor.
