Avs have a glut of RW's with Donskoi, Compher, O'Connor, and Kaut, along with Nichuskin/Calvert/Jost who can all play RW too (not to mention Saad and Burakovsky who both prefer playing RW) so Avs could be a good trade partner for Calgary.

A Compher/Bennett swap has been discussed a lot. But how about something around Donskoi for Backlund or Mangiapane?

Avs need a 3C so Backlund would be an obvious fit. Mangiapane would also be a nice fit in Colorado given his speed and skill.

Swapping one of Conpher/Donskoi for a 3C or 3LW would rebalance the 3rd line a bit, as right now the Avs have too many guys who's best position is RW.

Mangiapane is not available unless it’s for a really good young player.

While I think Backlund could be had, Donskoi is not the return we’d be looking for . Stick to Bennett, his price will be accessible.

How about: Donskoi (+ pick?) for Mangiapane + Rittich ($1.275m retained)?

Cap going each way is a balanced. Calgary get a RHS RW. Avs get a rental backup gaolie and 3LW, enabling Compher to move back to 3RW (with a 3C added in another trade).
