The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the team’s annual Fan Fest will return to Canadian Tire Centre (@CdnTireCtr) on Saturday, Sept. 27. The event will feature a Senators’ intra-squad game, autograph sessions, two team practices, interactive games, a Senators’ game-used equipment and jersey sale, fan press conferences and entertainment throughout the arena.

General admission tickets, which will include access to each of the event’s components for the first time, for Fan Fest will go on-sale on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 10 a.m. The first 10,000 fans to purchase an event ticket will receive a redeemable voucher for a limited edition Kyle Turris bobblehead. The Turris bobblehead will be the first in a series of five limited edition bobbleheads which Senators fans can collect over the course of the 2014-15 season.

Several interactive components from the Sens Street Tour will be available to fans as Fan Fest begins outdoors on the Gate 1 plaza at 9 a.m. with an official greeting from Senators president, Cyril Leeder. Entertainers including balloonists and face-painters will also welcome fans to Canadian Tire Centre. Additionally, the Sens Store will host a new and used team equipment and game worn jersey sale in the team’s Vintage store on the 100-level concourse. The sale will include game-used jerseys, game-used skates, gloves and sticks from recent seasons.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch the Senators take to the ice for two practices (one beginning at 10 a.m. with the second commencing at 1 p.m.) in addition to an intra-squad game that is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m.

Is it just me or do the Senators seem a bit more active/visible than usual?

They are also doing this "hometown tour" thing
