Awful trade offer for SJ.

Sharks laugh and hang up the phone.

Yup

White - At best a number 2 centre who might end up being a 3C when all is said and done. Good defensively, but who knows how much offence he gives you. Might top out as a 40-45 point a year kind of guy.

Lassi - A first round pick who could bust. Certainly not a sure thing or high end type of prospect. Top four potential perhaps, but who knows if he ever reaches it. Hard to say. Too much uncertainty.

Gus - Goalie prospect. Who knows? Could amount to something, could be nothing.

You don’t trade Hertl for this package.

The best piece coming back in this trade is white whom seems like a 40 point player who is good defensively but will never even come close to matching Hertl.

Neither prospect is intriguing or is much of a sweetener. Sharks get worse on the ice, only marginally improve their prospect farm, gain no picks, and do not improve their cap situation. In short this offer is terrible.
