Could be a good replacement. Would be hard to not take salary back in a DeBrincat trade though, which would make this hard to fit in.

Weeks posted something similar on multiple teams interested in him and he needs to think about it.

Canes were reported to have a standing offer on a short term deal too. Seems like ball is in his court to decide now, will be interesting to see where he winds up

Nobody is giving Tarasenko 6 mil per? Killorn at 34 years old just got 6.25. Compher got 5.1, and Zucker got 5.3. A bunch of lesser players also got 4-4.5.

Curious why wasn't Tarasenko signed then? Also, I think Tarasenko may look for a 1 year contract on like 6mill and maximumize it next year when the cap goes up.

I think what may be missing in your calculations here is that all these guys can play a two-way game. Is it possible these two-way players have become more valuable to franchises then dynamic one-way offensive players? Possibly.

Then they are getting him. Nobody is giving him that much.

Sorry I didn't mean to suggest they would offer him that. I wasn't clear and that's my bad.

What I meant to get at was 6.000 is essentially their entire remaining budget to replace Debrincat. Tarasenko should come in cheaper for sure, but I'm not sure he'll be cheap enough with whatever salary the Sens have to take back to accomodate a DeBrincat trade.
