Balanced forward group, as in every line has a weakness lol

I really want Logan Brown to get a chance to succeed at the NHL level, but if you are going to stick him on the wing with a grinder and a defensive centre and give him seven minutes a night, he should be sent down to Belleville...

Feels weird to say this but I'd rather see Boedker on that line with Logan and Pageau than Sabourin, but I guess they might still be assessing Sabourin even though it's obvious he shouldn't be in the opening night lineup unless there's an injury. Still, Boedker would perhaps give Logan a bit more assistance in the scoring dept.

The way it is structured Brown is setup to join line one (C.Brown) or three(Ennis?) on the PP and skip the PK?

5'9 is like midget territory.. Im not knocking the guy I'm just saying it is what it is... that's something you cant change. He can either play at that size or he cant.

I believe that the above 2nd line was actually the 4th line.

From a positive standpoint, we have arguably the best quadruplet of 3rd and 4th lines in the league. Any one of those 4 lines would make any playoff contender an instant cup contender by slotting a couple of these lines into their bottom 6.

I deduce that the Senators are on the right track of literally trying to build from the net out, now we just need to find some more players to play in the top 1-4, as we definitely do have two guys in Tkachuk and White who are top 6 players on almost every team in the league. Aside from them regrettably there are too many forwards with question marks and no definitive role on this team...yet.

As Jacques Martin, everyone gets a chance on the PP in pre-season.

I only count 6 keepers in the forward group playing today.

Batherson - 2nd Line RW
Brady - 1st Line LW
Logan Brown - 2nd Line C
C. White - 3rd Line C
C. Brown - 3rd Line RW
Pageau - 4th Line C

Duclair as a show me.

Tkachuk - XXX - XXX
XXX - L. Brown- Batherson
Balcers - C. White - C. Brown
Formenton - Pageau - XXX

That’s 2 top line players and a 2nd Line RW just to fill out the top 6

2020 draft
Top 5 pick - 1st Line C or RW
SJ pick - 2nd Line LW

Tkachuk-White-Brown has been set in stone as our top line every game and practice they have been available.

Essentially the top 3 lines, barring a wing spot have been set in stone.

Logan Brown's time to shine.

Playing on the top line.
Against the Midget Habs, should use his size to his advantage.

Classic matchup of speed versus size today. We’ll see how Brown does versus a fast thinking and fast skating team.
