No it would not. A change in ownership will take several years to have a significant impact on team performance.
This statement is unfounded and irrational.

If the new ownership group tells the GM that he can buy out whoever he wants and then spend to the cap, this team could improve in a hurry.

And thats why it makes no sense to keep Karlsson and pay him 11m/for the next 8years just so we can nearly make the playoffs but not good enough. no thanks.

Next year with EK they could creep into the playoffs, but a few years down the line the team could be better than a bubble team with the potential of some of the young talent.

It makes sense in that right after the SCF there is excitement and emotion so a good number of fans probably place bets now. Vegas makes money now, and again in September as you mentioned.

Makes sense. I didn’t consider that angle.

What are the odds Boucher gets fired by Xmas? (And replaced by somebody who can actually run PP)

As bad as some of Boucher's hockey philosophies are.. its scary to think he could be the most qualified Sens employee in their job. Quality not quantity

So, are the vegas odds makers rushing to correct the odds now, maybe down to 200:1?

Carolina 60-1 is nice. They took a step forward last year but unfortunately their success was the only thing darling was able to stop all season.
