LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

I would vote for Dahlin and perhaps consider Dobson, Bouchard, Boqvist, or Hughes over Wolanin and Jaros, but never Bernard-Docker or Tychonick at this point in their careers.

I loved what I saw from Wolanin in his stint last season, looked like he belonged.

yes
Upside: JBD > Wolanin > Jaros
Readiness: Jaros > Wolanin > JBD

Im a huge fan of Jaros, I think he'll be a solid #5 that will anchor the bottom pairing and play a big role on the PK, but I just can't vote for him based on the others upsides.

Overall: Wolanin > JBD > Jaros

If we had traded our 9th best prospect for a top 20-25 pick people would consider it a coup. Yet there's jbd still on the board.

In fairness, nearly everyone haven't seen him play before. I think once people see a bit of him he'll move up significantly. Personally, I have ahead of Formenton and Chlapik comfortably. Toss up between him and White as far as ranking on my list.

Lajoie for me. Guy is going to be a very good NHL player.

JBD has similar potential and I like Jaros but Lajoie is close to a blue chipper IMO.

I think you can make a positive case for any guy ranked 4-12. At this point, it's kind of just picking favourites and hedging bets. Some of that is that they are all relatively close, some of it is that we haven't seen much of many of these guys.

Jaros then Wolanin. Docker is still to prove himself at the next level. He will by next year along with Tychonick . Add Hapur, Englund and LaJoie in the mix and that D pool is looking better than ever.

Wolanin, Bernard-Docker, and Jaros are all super close here. Crazy how we will have a guy with a good chance at being a good top 4 guy outside the top 10...

Just wanted to bold that for everyone. Lajoie close to a bluechip prospect? First I've heard of this.

I'd more than welcome it but I wouldn't call Lajoie anywhere close to a bluechipper.

We should have a nice little run on defencemen here. Went with JBD, but have no issue with anyone going with Wolanin, Jaros, Tychonik or even Lajoie/Harpur at this point.

I think all of those guys are a clear step up from our (remaining) forward prospects at this point.

I loved what I saw from Wolanin in his stint last season, looked like he belonged.

Yeah and we already know what he looks like against men. JBD has a very nice toolset that reminds me a bit of Jay Bouwmeester (and with a better shot!) but he is far from a finished product. He hasn't even played 1 game in the NCAA. We saw Wolanin excel at the level and since he took his 4 years to develop, he is relatively NHL ready.

I give a lot more importance to potential than NHL readiness but is JBD potential much higher than Wolanin to offset the difference in readiness? I could Wowlanin develop into a solid 2nd pairing D-man, if the Sens don't screw him by asking too much too soon.

We just drafted him, I'm not in a rush to rank JBD higher. Some people will tell me about Tkachuk that just got drafted too. I agree but he was 4th OA while JBD was a bit of a reach at 26th. But really not against this pick, it could end up being a very smart pick for that position.

If we had traded our 9th best prospect for a top 20-25 pick people would consider it a coup. Yet there's jbd still on the board.

Maybe usually but this year, the top-12 looks gorgeous. I mean, the worst prospects in that top-12 will be Jaros, Wolanin and probably Tychonick.

Gabriel Gagne made the AHL all-star game in his (true) rookie year (as he wasn't ready last year) but won't probably crack our top-15. He's a very long-term project so hopefully he continues to develop. He was still very raw at 20 y/o but he has great tools too.

Lajoie for me. Guy is going to be a very good NHL player.

You're going to confuse people using that term, which is usually reserved for top NHL prospects.

You're probably talking about his NHL Certainty which you would probably qualify as high.

Lajoie is another very intriguing prospect. It's a guy with a lots of smarts and NHL qualities. Another one that could rise this year.

I'm expecting Wolanin, JBD, Jaros and Tychonick to fill up the top-12, then you have another tier IMO with Lajoie, Harpur, Gagne, Hogberg. Not too sure about Paul and Perron but I uderstand why they dropped this year. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see Perron rebound nicely. Hopefully the coaching change in Belleville is what he needed. Crazy to think they will struggle to make the top20. I never seen a Sens pool as deep.
