Senators Prospects Top 40 (2013) + Past Rankings:

Prospect Criteria:

A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria:

If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.

An NCAA player who signs his first contract at or above the age of 22 has three years to meet the above criteria (65/45), while those NCAA players that turn pro under the age of 22 will be subjected to
the criteria above.

European players who sign their first NHL contract at or above the age of 22 have three seasons from the time they sign that contract to meet the above criteria. Those European players below the age of 22 that have signed a NHL contract will be subjected to the criteria in section one.

Tell me who to add next.

Wideman is this closest to the NHL considering hes first call up i imagine if a RHD gets hurt. Plus last year was good for him.

Where the Cup is
Buddy Robinson ☺☻☺

Buddy Robinson gets my vote this time........

Again Buddy Robinson is NOT 1 of the glory boy draft picks, as Ottawa signed him as a free agent out of college...... Players like Buddy are overlooked on this blog....

His rookie season;
69 games played
15 goals
16 helpers
31 points
+/- ++23

I am impressed with the +23.

Decent, not great rookie season, lets see how much more he can develop in his 2nd pro season under the watchful eye of coach Luke.......

Buddy is 6' 5" and 235 pounds (huge), man if he develops what a power forward he can become for the Senators.

He seems to have a knack around the net, he will have to learn to use the body more. Last season he would look good at times and other times well lets say not so good..... Happens a lot to rookies playing their 1st season in Binghamton.....

If this kids develops what a gem he will be for Ottawa, teams need a big power forward and Buddy is BIG~~!!!!!!!

My thanks to "Lehner" for taking the time to run this thread on rating Ottawa's prospects...............
