Not a big deal, but a signing none the less.

SENATORS SIGN DANIEL BOIS
Forward signs a multi-year deal

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators Hockey Club today announced that forward Daniel Bois has signed a multi-year deal with the club.

Bois, 20, recently completed his junior hockey career, playing four seasons with the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In 236 career games with London, Bois recorded 70 goals, 69 assists and 911 penalty minutes. He also appeared in 37 playoff games with London, recording 12 goals, 13 assists and 133 penalty minutes.

The Thunder Bay, Ontario, native was originally drafted in the third round (97th overall) by Colorado in 2001.

Now go take a chance on St. Pierre boys (Guelph).

I thought he was one of the more hated players in the OHL.

Neither good nor bad. Useful to know in any event.
Anyone have a better scouting report on this guy?

There is a link from the Knights site, hope it works.

Central Scouting Report
A strong skater with a good stride and adequate speed ... very well-balanced and is seldom knocked down ... has good puck skills and a very good understanding of the game ... has a hard, accurate shot and strong passing skills ... a very competitive hard-nosed player who works very well along the boards and in the corners ... a solid hitter who enjoys the physical aspect of the game ... a solid two-way player with an impressive physical presence on the ice.

Bois was suspended for 24 games this year alone, due too various cheap shots.... needless to say that doesn't go over well.

As a player his skating needs some works, he has many discipline problems (too many penalties) and his lack of finess with the puck is obvious. On the upside, Bois is very responsible defensively, always goes to the net hard and will stand his ground when he gets there. And as a long serving captain he is a good team guy, who will go to battle for his 'mates.

Horrible skill set, bad attitude and no brain.

I'm not sure why they bothered.

Bingo lost Dennis the menace.. perhaps this is his younger replacement?

seems like the type of player Ottawa would like to have in the playoffs vs Toronto...though he probably needs a year or more in the AHL.

Too many to list....... the worst one this year was deliberately landing on a player who was already down and driving his head into the ice.

Let's suffice to say that the OHL is a better league now that he's done.....

He is suppost to be one of the better fighters in the OHL. He and Janssen had a couple of great tilts. I think he will be the enforcer of the future for Ottawa. His suspension late in the season hurt London. Not a smart player.
