Looks like a draft steal. Birth date one day before the cutoff date and he’s physically immature even for his age. Considering that he’s pushing guys around who are 50lbs heavier than him just imagine how dominant this kid could be in 5 years when he’s 180 lbs. The kid just oozes skill.

I’d also say a Alex Debrincat comparison, similar build and size both with extreme skill. Look what he did this year in the NHL

Fantastic that they signed him to an ELC after such a great pre-season showing. Proves to the other prospects that there are rewards to be had for working hard and performing well in camp.

I was completely unimpressed with the pick at the time, but wow this kid is putting on a show. I'm determined to keep my hype train in check, but he is so slick out there. If he has a big year in the OHL I think we've got a real player on our hands.

Finally one of my half-baked predictions has come true! September 18:

It would be a real accomplishment if SDA plays any preseason game. I'm thinking that he is already on track to signing an ELC before the end of camp.
