Some stadiums sell wine but there always some lower-class guy saying that it's destroying the games because wine attracts more wealthy and women people. Vodka doesn't seem to be sold at any sports events from what I've known.

What are your opinion of selling more alcohol outside of the traditional beer market? I would support it since I enjoy vodka and wine more than I do for beer. Rum and whisky should be sold at sport events too.

There are several places around the Bridgestone Arena which sell wine and a wide variety of mid-level liquors. There is also a full bar in the club level.

i'm fairly certain that you can get mixed drinks and coolers at every nhl stadium.
wine may be reserved just for boxes, restaurants, and lounges.

It's hard to imagine people drinking wine in the general seating area. It just doesn't fit the experience. Typically you would expect to at least have a table if you're drinking wine or mixed drinks, which is why most arenas have a bar of some sort somewhere in the building.

But hey, if you really want to sit there and sip chardonnay while screaming "ref you suck", who am I to stop you?

Seems to work for some guys downtown, just put a brown bag around a bottle of old sailor or Ripple and you're set for the next hour or so.

It's available pretty much everywhere, you normally just can't take it with you. I remember at CAA they had a *stand* that sold wine and booze... and you *COULD* take it with you.

At the Tank, HP Pavilion....

Wine and full bar has always been available to club level folks.

The Sharks converted one of their main concourse merchandise stands into a full service bar, as well as offer Sharkaritas and a few other mixed drinks.

Also, there's a microbrewery or two that supply beer (on tap) as well as a wide variety (read international flavor and domestic) of bottled beer available around the concourse.

Staples Center has two full bars on the lower concourse and I believe one upstairs. Club has them as well.

They price depending on what type of alcohol(Usually have a house, a good, and a great) and I think the lowest starts at $12-14

I'd pay like 20 bucks for a margarita at a game, that would be awesome.

Somehow, I dont think anyone would relish the thought of large swaths of fans with skin paint sitting in their sections with Go Cup's full of pure grain alcohol, vodka or tequila in one hand, high-test beer in the other. :help:

Licensing restrictions prohibits the sale of liquor to patrons in general seating in pretty much all jurisdictions with the exception of closed & monitored environments within the arena (suites, sit down bars, specially designated seating areas & restaurants etc).

If you like a Margarita with yer hockey, Club seats at the job. $20 will get you 2 pitchers and a huge plate of nacho's. :thumbu:
