He is 9th in ES TOI with 689:50. TOI/G is useless since he has missed games. He is 3rd in even strength points with 29pts despite playing only the 9th most.

Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry
Blake-Koivu-Selanne

ES TOI per ES point:

Selanne 23.76min

Ryan 24.42min
Perry 25.49min
Getzlaf 27.33min
Koivu 41.7min
Blake 42.24min

Pretty good for a PP specialist playing with lesser talent.

This was just a response to Selanne being a PP specialist. There's no way he should win Pearson this season.

Why is TOI/GP useless because he missed games? Seems to me, raw TOI is more useless if he missed games.

That is impressive that he's leading the team in ESP per (sheltered) minute, but it still underscores what a high percentage of his points (and goals in particular) are coming on the PP.

I don't know where you get that "Selanne plays sheltered minutes" thing of yours. You have said it before too. I have watched all the Ducks games this season (and seasons before) and Selanne's line plays usually against the other team's 1st or 2nd line.

offensive zone faceoffs:

1. George Parros 67.5
...
15. Teemu Selanne 40.8% (3rd least on the Ducks. sheltered?) ranks 404th out of 449 players who have played more than 10 games
16. Saku Koivu 40.2%
17. Todd Marchant 37.8%

Corsi quality of competition (league wide):

1. Teemu Selanne 1.93
(sheltered?)
2. Saku Koivu 1.903

Corsi relative quality of competition (league wide):

...
4. Pavel Datsuyk
5. Henrik Zetterberg
6. Brandon Dubinsky
7. Teemu Selanne

Have you even seen a Ducks game?

Yes.

It appears that this season his minutes aren't as sheltered, however, clearly, with 6 ESG all season, he's not able to overcome that level of competition like other star players.

uh yeah... He's tied for 39th in the league for even strength points with 7ESG and 30ESP and he has missed 9 games so he's atleast in the top30 in ESP per game. Not bad with 2nd line minutes and linemates.

His 30 even strength points in 49 games is a pace for 50 points per 82gp which would have put him 24th in the league last season.
