If tight wad Melnyk isn't willing to give Erik Karlsson $11 million per, Then i doubt he's willing to offer Tyler Seguin $10 million or $10.5 million per.

my guess is that Dallas wants to see how he plays in his contract year and to see if he can go back to back 40 goal years..I do no see the Stars keeping Spezza beyond this year so that will free some money up for seguin

Janmark and Faksa have the chance to show they can be top 6 but right now Faksa is much better suited to be the shut down 3C and Janmark, will be our 2 LW, but will need to show he can do better than 30-40 points.

Right now Dallas has 3 legit top 6 forwards, with 3 other guys who could be top 6 but we are banking on them progressing/bouncing back in Spezzas case. If we trade Seguin we are left with a really weak forward group
