Someone like Ryan Hopkins from EDM?

There may be a deal there, although that's been beaten to death between the Oiler and Preds fans.

Don't want to Sedins. Not interested in giving up major assets or futures for guys who are on the downside of their careers. If we're moving Jones, the guy we get back needs to have a long term future here in Nashville.

Sedins 50% retained for Jones +

What are your thoughts?

probably the worst proposal for Jones Ive seen(and thats saying something), especially since you put a + after Jones, as if we'd have to add more.

Remember Men in Black II ?

It would give your team some extra scoring depth though. You'd probably be the second best team in the west.

We don't need to trade a 20 year old defenseman, our best trade asset for two guys that are on the down swing of their career and are 35 or 36 years old. Not calling them bad whatsoever, but we need a guy that is 20-28 years old that's an elite center.

Trading Jones for aging Sedin's only closes our window further.

They tend to disappear in the playoffs.

Not really, their playoff teams just lacked heart. Canucks fans always gotta blame Goaltenders first and the twins second. Remember when they blamed Lou for losing to Boston? He took them to 7 games while his team scored a whopping 8 goals. You don't have much of a chance when the other team just has to shutdown one line. I believe their ppg in the playoffs is very close to their regular season average. Regardless I don't see them lifting their no trade clause, they love the community, have donated millions to local charity and have raised their kids there.
