That guy isn't a "heralded Environmentalist" the way you're implying it. He's been making those same basic arguments his entire career.

The term is net zero and its not 100% carbon free cause it needs electricity which 65% of washington's states electrical grid is from coal power plants.

This looked completely wrong to me so I looked for a link. That percentage applies to hydroelectric, not coal. Coal-fired plants account for about 13% of our energy.

Not a good look from Amazon, whose carbon footprint rose 15% from 2018 to 2019, up to 51.1 megatonnes of CO2 annually. That's more than about two-thirds of the countries on the planet...

Everyone thinks this arena name is crazy, never heard the story about how the Arizona Cardinals stadium almost was named for a restaurant named "Pink Taco". And it was a legit offer.
