Pavs looks, via these stats, way better than i think we give him credit for on this board. I've been low on him a lot recently, but reading this adds some confidence for this season
For sure. we have the benefit of watching his every game vs these reporters who have to cover the whole league. Those shiny stats laid out in the article certainly overshadow reality.Pavelski was our MVP in the regular season, and the way he stepped up as the #1C in the absence of Joe Thornton was incredible. However, he is aging, he has clearly declined a step, and his playoff performance in the last 4 rounds the Sharks have played in has left much to be desired. His splits between his time against playoff teams and non-playoff teams also create reason for some concern.
Seems fair to me. I'd take him over Andersen though. Gibson is debatable.
