Team Status: Edmonton is a playoff hopeful this season. They had been in a perpetual rebuild and came within one win of a Western conference final appearance 2 years ago. This last season they fizzled out quite miserably with higher expectations. This year the hope is they can bounce back, maybe not to a Stanley Cup, but at least a playoff appearance...

Hey guys, here is the next season outlook! I probably won't be popular with the outlook I have on the Oilers but Talbot's inconsistencies last year coupled with a complete unknown in KHLer Koskinen made it tough for me to be super optimistic about the Oilers.

For what it's worth, I do think the team has a chance at the playoffs but Talbot would need to rebound and a few players in the top 9 will have to overachieve a bit.

Other then that, I would love to have more regular Oilers content, if anyone wanted to take up the mantle and had an interest in blogging, feel free to private message me.
