I do read the full writeups for various xG models and other metrics. I understand many of the problems with NHL data collection and what you’re saying about Rebounds because I know they’re just a simple time-based approximation with multiple steps for noise seepage. I also frequently criticize both awards voting and the misapplication of various metrics.

But I genuinely feel badly that you wrote all of this for no reason. I’m not going to have this discussion. I promise you that you have something better to do than whatever it is you’re doing in this thread. No jokes or name calling. Please don’t waste your effort on me.

Very well said sir. It's hard to believe how serious some people take things that really have no effect on their actual lives. Reminding them to step back from the keyboard once in awhile is sound advice.
