The Kraken have quite the Goalie depth this upcoming season.

Keep making their team big at every position too I find.

Edit: oops, wrong thread.

Bibeau is a #4 goalie. So at least he's slotted right for Seattle.

He stinks
Lol very insightful

He's a number 4 on a team that had only 3 goalies under contract, and will be playing in Charlotte, the team where he played last year and was probably going to play on an AHL deal anyway
This just saves SEA from having to make an emergency signing or trade if it gets to that point
But if Bibeau does see significant NHL time, Seattle has bigger problems anyway

Im so confused by everything Seattle has done. Like is there even a plan or are they just trying to wing it

Teams need a 3rd/4th goaltender for depth purposes, not sure why that's so confusing.

As others mentioned, Seattle will be sharing an AHL affiliate with Florida this season so we'll see if Bibeau ends up being loaned out elsewhere. Seattle also has Joey Daccord and Florida has (presumably) Sam Montembeault and Chris Gibson, so there might be a crowded crease. Bibeau probably got one of the last AHL spots left open; With Carey Price's injury, it looks like Montreal has a spot open eventually. I might have missed a signing and/or which European goalies might be loaned out, but here's a rough idea of current goalie depth charts around the league:

What are you talking about, they've done amazing. What other teams have 9 or 10 NHL caliber D men who all need waivers!? Obviously they're dressing 3 forward lines and 5 D pairings, it's the modern NHL, have to be creative!
