Screening goalie = assist

Let's just give everyone who was on the ice at the time of the goal (goal scorer included) an assist.

Not sure about this, but this is one of the most important intangibles that rarely gets discussed. If assists were given out for this then Holmstrom would be Gretzky.

They shouldn't get an assist but it is something that it is worth tracking. It is far to opinion based to award points for in my opinion.

They should give a secondary assist point for a player infront of the net, if he's screening the goalie. Far more important than the guy who get's the secondary assist now. If there was no screen, the secondary passer can get a point. Sometimes it will be difficult to determine on-ice wether there was a screen or not, so let the NHL decide post-game.

Simple answer. . No.way too subjective on what being in front of the net is. Pts are simple math. If you touched the puck you can get an assist. Silly way to increase a players pts total
