For those who watched the other games, were the refs calling a ridiculous number of penalties? I think that was one reason the Rangers-Canes game was a bit sloppy. It took a long time before there was any stretch of 5v5 so that regular lines were used.

Thank you. You can't give me a credible answer other than pointing out others posts and making inane statements.

Why, in your view, did our defense not shit the bed yesterday?

The only game yesterday with less than 9 penalties was FLA-NYI

I've stated why in a previous post. You are deflecting though. If you can't/won't answer my question, just say so.

If someone can't understand the difference it makes to have a puck moving goalie they obviously have no experience playing. If Hank was way better at stopping the puck the advantage would probably be negated but when you have a goalie who is as good or better plus plays the puck it can't hurt, to debate against that is just arguing for the sake of arguing. Most of the team was flat, but we expended a lot of energy chasing pucks in our own end off the dump in. Carey Price was the answer to Pitsburghs dump ins last night, Shesterkin can help in that regard. Would we win for sure because of it, ofcourse that's not realistic but it would give us a better chance against a team that uses the dump to gain our d zone. Our left d is a tire fire, everyone knows that, so dump it in and pressure, if Shesterkin can play 20 percent of those dumps it helps. It's less on Hank and more on the d of this team because when we had a solid d, puck handling didnt matter. But our d is not solid right now and Shesterkin can help the d so what's the problem with that? I love Hank for what he did here but everyone including Hank himself knows he isn't the best goalie on this team.

The refs are encouraging social distancing by limiting 5 on 5 play.

I don’t care about your previous posts. You should give a credible answer here and now, or else I will claim you are unable to. Also, please explain why the earth is round and the sky is blue, or else I will deem you to have denied those.

At 5 on 5 Carolina didn’t generate much so hard to completely blame the defense.

they didn’t even have a shot outside the goal and a post for the first half of the first period and really the second period we dominated. Most chances were on the powerplay. Defensively we weren’t that bad. Now in talking about moving the puck out we were awful.

now another thing you may not want to acknowledge is what our PK numbers are with hank in net vs Igor. Hank is having most of his problems short handed. And that’s because the puck is moving laterally and he is just not the same guy he was in his ability to track and move quickly enough. He’s now just kicking legs out and opening up completely instead of sliding or moving with the pucks. Leaves him vulnerable. Not saying the 2nd or 3rd goals were his fault they weren’t but he does not move with the puck anymore opting more just to kick a leg out while playing so deep and in the process opens up completely which leaves him in trouble against deflections etc.

And then again the forecheck. Dump the puck in he’s not going to make a play to help get the puck out of his zone quickly.

His pk numbers are really his biggest downfall and they continue to get worse.

We have a $21 Million defense but all they need to win is Igor.

Love Hank and what he has done both on and off the ice for the club, but even on his best days, I still average about 4 face plants a game when he Plays the puck. There’s an advanced stat for you.

What's money have to do with it, Marc Staal is a shell of the guy we signed, and Smith was overpaid from the get go. You think our left side d is good? You obviously do if you think our d is worth 21 mill.

Yep, just what I thought. It's great that you like hockey, but try not to wade into the deep end next time.

To say our defense was prevented from playing their best because Hank played instead of Igor is speculative at best. Our top D didn’t show up for work yesterday. That’s on them, not Hank.

You are an example of many Ranger fans having very limited hockey knowledge. There isn't anything wrong with that either. Just don't get too deep into evaluating games. You are clearly lost and trying to make witty posts doesn't hide your inability to answer the original question.
Stay in you lane. Maybe an occasional, "shoot it" or "get it out" is your speed.

Nice to hear. However something seems to be missing from his and Panarin's game. This is the risk when your team is being carried by 2 players.

You’ll have to excuse me if I qualify this take with the fact it’s coming from someone who thought our D was fine yesterday. Best of luck to you.

Hopefully getting some PP time in. Of all facets of the game, that was singlehandedly the most rusty aspect of their game. It was absolutely terrible.

Again, nothing. Just admit you know very little about the game. It would be less embarrassing for you and people would forgive your ignorance.
Yes, our D was fine yesterday. There is a big difference between fine and shit the bed.

Hank got his chance. He played ok, Still we would have needed 4 to win. He didn't steal a game.

Maybe Igor steals the game. Maybe not. We'll never know. I'd rather take my chances on Igor stealing one.

This should be your tag. That way, everyone will know what they need to about your opinion and your hockey “knowledge”.
