Would love to see an updated list of top20 or top30 prospects with half the season gone. The Don Mill Flyers minor midget team seem to have been quite successful. I would assume some of their players would be ranked highly. Not sure which guys are carrying that team however but Brett Neumann and David Levin has produced quite well I think.

I'm also very curious about the Toronto Marlboros team where Ryan McLeod and Matthew Strome plays. Where do these guys rank and is there anyone better than them on their team?

What amazed me is that Antropov's son is playing with the 00 Flyers and is already eligible for the 2016 OHL draft.

To me, this draft looks pretty good as far as Finnish players are concerned. Urho Vaakanainen is the top prospect in my opinion, he's a fairly big defenseman but is a great skater and moves the puck with a lot of poise. Has already scored a few goals for Blues U20 team. Kristian Vesalainen is a big, hard-working forward who goes to the net and has a quick shot. He hasn't produced much at the U20 level, but has shown flashes of skill.

Also, from Blues U18, Eeli Tolvanen and Joni Ikonen are two forwards with a ton of skill and smarts. I like both of them and think they will be able to produce at the higher levels as well. Santeri Hartikainen, from HIFK U18/U16, is a center with already solid two-way skills. I also like the poise that Jokerit U18 defenseman Eero Teräväinen brings on the ice. He's the younger brother of Blackhawks' prospect Teuvo Teräväinen.

I also like from the 1999 born age-group small, skilled defenseman Vili Laitinen, but I believe he's a 2018 eligible because of late birthday. Really have liked him this season, he plays for the Blues U16 that is one of the better teams in the country.

Damn, first I've heard of Nolan Patrick.

16 years old and he's 6'3 192? Nice frame. Sucks he's a late birthday.

Why does it suck?

Kids a talent , size , skill , focus , smart , 200 foot game , bloodlines . Plays tough minutes and having a really good playoff run to pair with his 30 goal , ppg regular season .

Will be a third generation pro athlete and really has the right mindset.

This will definitely turn out to be the Nolan Patrick draft. He is an absolute stud already and he is still years away from his draft

?_? I think he means it sucks that he won't be in next year's draft, that teams will have to wait an extra year to get a crack at him.

Anyways, I'm kinda glad that Patrick and Yamamoto are going to be in the 2017 draft since the 1999 whl prospects aren't looking that great right now.

Hopefully he isn't one of those players who becomes overanalyzed as he's one of the earliest developers of his draft class.

Well I get that but it really doesn't "suck" lots of top players are late birthdays , just how it goes , he'll play an extra year ( likely ) in JR which is good for him and the Wheat Kings , and be ready to move on from there.

Obviously "REALLY" early, but it would be amazing to add a high end local talent like Patrick on the Jets. And usually I don't give much value to the "local" aspect. But a local high end talent would be nice.

I've been away for almost a year so I'm trying to get caught up on all my prospect info. It seems a lot has changed since this list waz posted. We seriously need an updated top #20-30 ranking as it seems guys like Charlebois, Gentile, Dawe has completely fallen and guys like Pastujov, Bowers, and Max Gildon rising.
