I saw Matthew Barron (western hurricanes) earlier this year and thought he was the best player on the ice by far. Looked at the stats and he barely had a PPG at the time which was odd for a '99 in Major Bantam who looked as good as he did. Just looked at his numbers now and he has 20 points in 12 games lol

I read that Jake Harrison could possible challenge for #1 overall in 2014 whl bantam draft with Jordy Bellerive, Stelio Mattheos and Nolan Kneed. How good is he and how far off the top 30 is he? Also heard that Ayden-Roche Setoguchi is another good prospect and that he is a great skater, were does he stand

Urho Vaakanainen ('99) is a name to watch for 2017 Draft. Big and skilled "D" who can skate and shoot. Really good player for his age.

How about Joni Ikanen? I heard him and Urho Vaakanainen were the top 2 '99 born fins so far? Is this true

Unfortunately I haven't seen Ikonen playing, so I can't comment about him. However, I haven't seen as good '99 born player as Vaakanainen playing here in Finland.

I have a limited viewing on goalie Daniel Lebedeff, who plays in the HIFK U16 team. When I saw him playing, he was very good. Good size at 5'11", tracks the puck well through traffic and made some really nice saves thanks to his quick reflexes. It's hard to say where I would put him for the 2017 draft, but I'll see him playing more over the next few weeks.

great spot to see the best 1999 talents will be the tournament in Saguenay(Labaie) from November 21st to the 24th. It's a Midget Espoirs tourney but there will be two teams (Quebec Blue and Quebec White) with the best Bantam players in Quebec playing against 16 yrs old. Anthony Poulin, Jeremy Fortin and others will be there.

against 15 years old not 16 years old. Should be great though.

Big Tourney this weekend to view the top 99's. International Silver Stick will display the best of the best.

Any names that should be watched closely?

I think some HS kids from Hersey will get taken in the later rounds in 2017, starting with Grant Jozefek
