Typical crap from the nonsense brigade.

Intelligent people who care about development: "If Sandin doesn't get more minutes he should be sent down."
The nonsense brigade: "No, he should be getting 10 minutes a game because you don't want to challenge him."

Sandin gets 15 minutes in a game.

The nonsense brigade: "See."

The reality is Sandin is still not getting worthwhile deployment, and his deployment has zero to do with earning or not earning minutes. He was pacing for about 12 minutes last night until the Leafs' fell behind in the third period - Babs plays Sandin a lot more when the Leafs are behind (this was also the case against Montreal as well - against Montreal and STL Sandin played 45% of the 5v5 minutes when the Leafs' were behind. The problem is he plays only 23% of the time when the Leafs either have the lead or the game is tied.) His TOI was also helped out by Muzzin getting a penalty, so Sandin got some PK time. Neither the Leafs' trailing nor Muzzin getting penalties seems like a reliable way of getting Sandin minutes for development, and even with that he could only crack the 15 minute mark which should be considered the bare minimum.

if Sandin gets ~10 minutes next game: "Good on Babcock to keep easing in that delicate little flower :)"
if Sandin gets 15+: "Good on Babcock for challenging him and building up his confidence!"
Whatever Babcock does is the right answer, no matter what
