Wondering why Oberg is here. We don't own his rights anymore.

Is it abnormal that 7 of our the top 10 have been acquired just since the last draft? Or would that be a reasonable expectation on prospect turnover.

And one of those 3 I don't think belongs (Bordeleau) and I feel like I will be proven right next year.

Maybe this 2023 draft was just that good overall. I feel like all of these players already voted are legitimate. in my opinion there are some prospects not voted yet who will surpass prospects already in the top 10. Just the way it shakes out in reality.

24 year old, right handed D, with 20 goals in the AHL last year? (and 114 points in 207 AHL games)

This guy, if he's not a top 10 prospect, has to be on the fringe. Post-Karlsson, he's got a big opportunity.

I think 24 years old with no NHL experience is the key here. He's also supposed to be pretty poor defensively.

I'm hoping he can play, but I think he's likely no more than a bottom pair tweener (like Tim Heed).

As a team bereft of offensive talent on D post-Karlsson, this could be an ideal opportunity. Someone has to play on the PP, even if he is a sheltered 3rd pair.

Considering we've been one of the worst teams in the NHL, traded one pick for others and traded a premium player for picks/prospects, no it's not abnormal and I imagine whichever prospect we end up with in the EK trade will also have been in that top ten.
