Is there a site like Red Wings central that's posting boxscores and pic from the SanJose tourney?
they usually have stuff for the pacific division tournaments, but not much there yet for this years tournament.
http://www.allducks.com might have something.
not much info at allducks...
they seem to be getting most of it from HF and LGK
Phoenix/San Jose consolation game 1:00 pacific
Los Angeles/Anaheim championship game 4:30 pacific
Anyone know where next years tournament is being held. Is it L.A. or Phoenix?
If I am not mistaken it should be in Phoenix. The first year it was in L.A then Anaheim Now San Jose so I would assume Phoenix
Yup it should be Phoenix's turn.
Anaheim 4 Los Angeles 3
San Jose 5 Phoenix 2
Ryan Getzlaf was named MVP of the tournament by leading all players in goals (4) assists (5) and points (9), while playing in 3 of the 4 games.
Pix can be found on the Sharks sites on the news items for the tournament. Obviously, they refer to the Sharks' games. I haven't found boxscores yet.
We didn't have anyone from AllDucks this year. If the games are in LA or Anaheim, then we'll have some good reports coming you.
I only attended one game, but from what I hear, Getzlaf and Michalek were head and shoulders above everyone else in the tournament. Getzlaf has some amazing hands and scoring ability, and not to mention great size. However, Michalek has been said to be the best all-around player in the tournament. He has no real holes in his game, whereas Getzlaf needs to work on his skating and balance (although Michalek doesn't look to possess Getzlaf's offensive potential.)
And FYI, Michalek was looking rather large (muscular). They had him listed at 6'1", 220lbs.!
Christ! I hope Bernier will be ok. Who drove him with an elbow?
He is ok, just has a stinger, logan Stephenson did it.
I hear Michaleks hands were better then anyone elses and that his physical game (much more agressive) has really progressed with the added strength
