Proposal: San Jose - Florida

Curious to see what fans of both teams think of the value:

Chris Tierney + 21st overall to Florida

15th overall + Adam Mascherin to San Jose

That’s actually not too bad. Panthers could probably get a decent defender with that pick, and to get Tierney who could be a good depth guy for them. Would suck for San Jose if Mascherin doesn’t sign.

Yeah I’m basing it off the assumption Mascherin would sign. Florida gets a good young roster player that Boughner is familiar with just for moving back 6 spots and San Jose gets cap flexibility to sign a top UFA and gets to add two solid prospects to one of the worst prospect pools in the NHL

Eh. Don't see it making sense for FLA. Don't need Tierney, doesn't make sense for them to trade back.

Any trade that involves a first round pick and receiving a depth player is a horrible use of assets. Even when it’s just moving your pick back a few spots.
