I really don't get why he is considered great at developing players. He's also the winningest coach in AHL history. He's had seven losing seasons in 22 years as an AHL head coach. When you're around that long, the losses add up. The wins do, too.
So Axe, who is going to be the new Wolves head coach or was it already announced?
By points percentage he's had seven losing seasons, but straight out wins vs losses (where L and OTL are losses and SOL are ties), he's had 11. He's also failed to make the playoffs 9 out of 21 seasons in a league. He's also the winningest coach in AHL history. He's had seven losing seasons in 22 years as an AHL head coach.
