i wonder if Hall-Gagner-Paajavi would make for a good line in the NHL one day.

Haven't you been reading the boards lately? Paajarvi will never be a 30 point player in the NHL, only shoots floaters from the outside ever, and is literally afraid of his own shadow.

From those that have watched Fedun play a lot so far this year... do you think he has NHL potential? I was hoping he'd do well this year after what he went through.

I realize he's still developing but is the gut feel that he's a career minor league player?

My gut feel is that he'll be capable of playing bottom pairing minutes in the NHL. He lost a huge year of development last year, and with the horrific injury will still take another year to come back fully, regardless of how well he tells you he feels. It's a long road. I think he gets better and better as this year goes on, and he's a way better player in April than he was in October.

Yup. All the more so considering the entire future of the franchise is on the team atm.

The Barons are getting pushed around since about the mid point of this game. Lost both fights too.
You may not :need: a fighter in the NHL anymore, but you damn sure need one in the AHL.
Unbelievable that we have no answer whatsoever when AHL no hopers start running around.

It really is the only no brainer with OKC this year IMO. Yet they seem to be royally screwing it up.

Paajarvi already scored 35 points in the NHL as a 19 year old rookie. Saying that a 21 year old player will never match his rookie year point total is, to put it mildly, a rather bold prediction.

The Barons are dulled to the cold indifference of their fans and need full fledged hate to get them going.

He isn't exactly lighting it up down there.

Feed crapped out so I missed the Paajarvi goal... Gotta say though I'm pretty happy we drafted Hall. Kid is so fun to watch, he's really coming around.

Ya, it is easy to forget what a great rookie campaign he had. Yet some how I don't see him doing much better. I think he will be a player that averages 30 points a year, but will have a couple good years and hit 40 or 50. I just don't see a lot of upside. He does have great raw ability though. I just don't see him as a guy with the offensive instict to go along with it.

Looks like we missed quite the show for those of us who lost the feed in the last 5 minutes...

Looking at the gamesheet there was some more scraps :

3 - SA Wright, 12:55 - Fighting, 5 min
3 - OKC Green, 12:55 - Fighting, 5 min
(when my feed crashed)

3 - OKC VandeVelde, 13:07 - Tripping, 2 min (PP)
3 - SA Caruso, 15:41 - Roughing, 2 min (PP)
3 - SA Selleck, 15:41 - Misconduct - Unsportsmanlike conduct, (75.4) 10 min
3 - OKC Plante, 15:41 - Misconduct - Unsportsmanlike conduct, (75.4) 10 min

3. OKC Paajarvi, (4) (Deck, Teubert), 17:18 (PP)

3 - SA Petrovic, 20:00 - Fighting, 5 min
3 - SA Petrovic, 20:00 - Game misconduct - Aggressor, (46.2) 10 min
3 - SA Petrovic, 20:00 - Game misconduct - Physical abuse of officials (cat. 3), (40.4) 10 min
3 - OKC Byers, 20:00 - Fighting, 5 min

I thought so big time last year after the Oilers signed him during the pre-season. I thought he looked great.

The things that are happening this year so far, I'm pretty much ignoring, because he just needs some time. He lost so much last year not playing at all. In the latter half of the season we'll get to really judge if there's still a player there. He's less offensive than I remember him being... he was a great passer last year. The high end would be a Schultz-lite.

I keep forgetting he's Canadian. Every time I look at his name, I think that he's Russian.
