Qb's don't win the games by themselves. It's akin to a pitchers W/L record in baseball, they're both lacking substance.

You're so right. Joe Montana sucks, especially in the playoffs and Super Bowls. Gimme Bradford. :sarcasm:

Montana also had linesman blocking for him, rb's running the ball, and wr's catching passes. It's a team sport, as all of nhl, mlb, nba are.

One valid concern there is Bradford and Fitzpatrick being unknown in the playoffs. You'd hate to find out that possess the meltdown gene. Snachez and Kaep have that over them.

Kap has had one bad game in the playoffs. One. And it was more of a bad quarter than anything. He went into Gb, Atl, and Car and helped his team win.

oh man the comments from his agent are just legendary.....

"From our perspective, Sam wants the opportunity to go someplace to not only be the starter, but be the starter long term," Condon said. "And I think there's a couple of things that go along with this. If you're on a two-year contract and the second pick in the draft is behind you, you better play really well, because you're going to hear it from the fans if you don't. You better play well or your teammates are going to be looking at you sideways, wondering when the other guy is going to step in."

"Sam would like to forgo all that."

"I think from that situation, Sam's only been in the league for six years and he wants to go someplace and be there to stay as long as he plays well," Condon said.

"He certainly can make his wishes known that he wants to go somewhere else and be situated there for the rest of his career. Sam's a competitor. He wants to go someplace where he can be the man. He doesn't want to be holding a place card and then wondering where he's going to go at the end of the year"

In other words, Sam Bradford is our first millennial QB in the league that needs to have the QB job without really needing to compete for it. Cause that other guy behind him could be better *gasp*

Think of it like this. What if Bradford *does* do well over the two years of his contract? Well, too bad, they didn't invest a #2 overall pick in a QB for nothing. So he becomes a free agent in 2018. At 30. Any team that signs him still isn't thinking that he's a long-term solution. At 28, maybe that's not the case. But not at 30. It's not him not wanting to compete. It's not wanting to be in a no-win situation.

Bradford saw an opportunity to get to the Broncos so he went for it. The trade didn't happen for whatever reason and they spent a 1st round pick on a QB so now it's all good and he's back. It'll be funny if he ends up losing his starting job out of training camp now.
