Has anyone seen anything reported officially about the NHL offering a salary floor in one of its late-stage deals? Could someone offer up a link?

Bettman said that there was no base in the league's last proposal. The floor was removed when linkage was removed.

I don't think the NHL will agree to put a salary floor if there's no linkage (and even less if there's one way "indexing").

Of course we will never know what the NHL would have accepted because the NHLPA was countering with 52M caps that could be gone over 3 times in 6 years, or 49M caps that could be gone over 2 times in 6 years and are also indexed two ways to go up, but never down. I'm pro-player if anything, but these NHLPA "offers" were a joke.
