Salary cap for the rest of this season

Why don't they just put a cap on for the rest of this season just to make the league at least eligible for a draft so everything doesn't get too screwed up?

he he, I was thinking the same thing. Or even for 2 years. Everyone takes an equal percentage pay cut to bring league salaries back to the cost certainty level, then implement the players framework to provide a system that allows owners the ability to win and profit, or lose and profit, or win and make money, or lose and make money. The system provides enough choices. Some teams make so much money for a few years, they are willing to lose a little money for a few years, as long as their franchise value improves and overall they make money in a 5 year window.
