yeah, i heard this during the tsn broadcast today.

they were talking about grooming for a management job (read as GM).

I don't want Sakic as Avs GM, for one reason. I think he'd be great at it, but if he wasn't it would be impossible to fire him after all the great things he did for the team.

Well, it did take 10+ years for Doug Wilson to take the GM position with SJ after he retired.
