Probably closer to the second. Good trade for the Kings though.

good deal for the kings. wright has been playing well this season and joseph just isn't that good

Guessing the Pistons will just waive Joseph, so Wright for 2 2nds is a low risk deal for Sac.

Wright was hurting our tanking and blocking other players. He is an improvement over Joseph but I wouldn't say a real drastic one either.

The motive for Detroit here, other than to give playing time for others, is adding a pair of second rounders and save money. Joseph has a partial guarantee while I believe Wright is on the books fully next year.
