If the plan is to have Dell/Andy/Tokarski/UPL battle to be the backup/taxi goalie/2 in Rochester.............I'm all for that. 100%.

But we still need a starter on top of that. God I hope we get a starter on top of that.

I don't think Adams is going to stop looking to upgrade the goalies. Anderson and Dell are like the ratty sweats you keep in the trunk in case you get soaking wet or covered with mud.
As soon as you get a chance you take a shower and put on decent clothes.

It is possible he is still looking for a #1 on the trade market, and this is just adding depth so that we aren’t in a situation like last year where we had to comb the depths and play a guy like Houser.

If he was signed to be a goalie coach, I would agree.

This season will likely be tougher on goalies than last season with no taxi squad and a compressed schedule due to the All-Star break and possible Olympics. Having a 40yo goalie that has had durability issues is not a great idea.

Anderson is a good egg. And has been through a lot of personal issues. A trooper.

However, he's just not a good goalie.

Ullmark is elite by comparison.

But ya do what ya have to do when the cupboard is bare.

Maybe the good news is that he is used to getting shelled......?
