This is the veteran D roch needed?

Right hand shot to boot, I would think he'd be the 2nd RHD with Bagnall-Ristolainen as the top pair and maybe he's paired with McCabe?

I think its a solid signing. I saw him play in person five times or so for the Caps. Now granted, the Caps had their issues on defence, but he did not look out of place. The following quote is a bit dated, from hockey's future, but lays out his upside well. He should be a solid presense in Rochester, and if needed has the size and experience to fill in in Buffalo.

"Strachan is a defensive defenseman with excellent size. He is a very good skater and is quite mobile. He possesses good puck-handling skills and makes very good outlet passes. One outstanding attribute that Strachan possesses is his blisteringly hard shot. He has shown an ability to join in the offensive rush as well. He uses his great size and his long reach quite well, particularly when clearing the front of the net. He can deliver good, hard checks and doesn’t shy away from the physical aspects of the game. He is also a hard worker. An area where Strachan could stand to improve in is shooting the puck more."

$250,000 is slightly more than minimum wage?

CapGeek says $250,000 would have been tied for the 12th highest salary in the league last year.

The tweet quoted in the OP says "Tyson Strachan one year with Buffalo two way deal. 650/ 275. Not sure if that’s out there yet."

1. Gordon, Andrew » F 2013 2014 1 $350,000
2. Danis, Yann » G 2013 2014 1 $325,000
3. Kostka, Mike » D 2013 2014 1 $325,000

Buffalo is lacking in Dmen for Rochester.....I think if they traded Stewart they would see about getting a Dman just starting his ELC as part of the deal...someone that may project as a 4/6 NHL Dman.

Borowiecki(sp?) in Ottawa is intriguing.

Compared to Bieksa-lite, or a smarter Weber.

Boro's a guy I'd like to have around. His ELC days are behind him though but he has a tremendous work ethic and character.

Remember him from his Junior days in the CJ for da bears. Kid was a stud.

He sounds like TJ Brennan, if Brennan had any ability to play defense
