Yes, its a real shame Montreal will be sitting Reilly and Folin in the press-box over Poehling. Meanwhile Poehling will be getting prime minutes in Laval and be a short distance away. What a tragedy.

Yeah, he's not spending the whole year in the AHL.

He didn't have much of a training camp with the injury.

Let him play top minutes in Laval and he'll be ready when the callup happens.

Drouin and Weal definitely have skill, so at the least the "KK plays with bums" narrative will die.

The obvious decision. Especially with the concussion, it was hard to justify keeping him in the NHL at this point.

If he dominates the AHL as a rookie, I'm sure they'll find a spot for him at some point like Pacioretty back in the days.

Nothing. But i'd rather see Poehling play 1st line C with a 17-20min TOI instead of 7-12min TOI on a 4th line.

Byron Thompson Armia is a random mixed bag if I've ever seen one.

Byron is fast. Thompson and Armia aren't.
Thompson and Armia can cycle. Byron can't.
Byron can finish. Thompson and Armia can't create.

Thompson and Cousins will be on short leash. Would like to see Poehling and Evans get a decent amount of action with big club. Both waiver exempt so they should be first callups
