Tuch scores in shootout, Golden Knights edge Lightning 3-2

Golden Knights center Ryan Carpenter was shaken up late in the second after going into the boards on a check by Cedric Paquette. Carpenter tried skating off the ice twice on his own and needed a teammate and later a linesman to keep him from falling to the ice.

Gallant had no update after the game on Carpenter’s injury.

Haven't seen anything today, yet, on his status.

Carpenter now on IR (so Carrier could be activated).

Probably retroactive to Tuesday (postgame).

Progress. But until he's symptom free for a period of time, he'll be in the no-contact jersey.

At this point, I think they'll let Carpy sit on the IR until (at least) Monday afternoon (AKA post TDL) so they don't have to make further roster moves to activate him. If he's symptom free, that will give him time to get better back in (game) shape.

@mundyc3 the 23 man roster limit goes away after TDL. (The only limit is cap)

So. Teams can carry 3 goalies, 8 D, 15 F if they wanted to.

I'd assume Bischoff gets sent down the moment Holden returns, GMGM has said we're doing 7D going forward, and the Wolves have a game tomorrow, no reason to have Bischoff still up.

Yes but this is today, not Monday. For all we know Carpenter could be ready on Friday. Plus Bischoff is never going to play.

This team does it everytime. Around 2PM. They don't place a guy on the IR until they need to make a spot for someone.

Yep, not on the IR doesn't mean he isn't freeing up a roster spot when they need it...
