So, it's starting to look like the team won't be re-signing Ryan Callahan to a new contract next season, despite him putting up a solid #DIV/0! PPG with us this season. Guy was one of my favourite sens players. Right up there with Nick Shore.

So I thought he deserved a proper HF send-off to commemorate his time with us.

All the best Ryan! Thanks for the Memories!

Did he ever put on a Sens jersey?

It is really a shame. I would've loved having him on the team when he was in his prime. Really bittersweet listing him as a Sens alum when he's never played a game for us.

It actually could have been nice to get some use out of him as an advisor or something. Help the guy transition into a new career if that's what he was after.
He obviously was never intended to play, but I'm not sure he had any real relationship with the team in any capacity.

Man over the last decade, think about all the talent the Sens were able to bring to Ottawa

Sergei Gonchar
Alexei Kovalev
Bobby Ryan
Clarke MacArthur
Dion Phaneuf
Derick Brassard
Marian Gaborik
Ron Hainsey
Mikkel Boedker
Artem Anisimov
Scott Sabourin
Ryan Callahan
Marc Methot
Craig Anderson
David Legwand
Johnny Oduya
Alex Burrows
Ales Hemsky
Marek Svatos
Milan Michalek

If you take their 3 best pts total season :

Kovalev (95, 84, 77)
Gaborik (86, 83, 76)
Ryan (71, 64, 57)
Duchene (70, 70, 67)
Hemsky (77, 71, 66)
Turris (64, 58, 55)
Michalek (66, 60, 57)
Brassard (60, 58, 47)
Burrows (67, 52, 51)
Legwand (63, 53, 51)
MacArthur (62, 55, 43)
Callahan (54, 54, 48)
Anisimov (45, 44, 42)
Boedker (51, 51, 37)
Svatos (50, 37, 34)
Sabourin (666)

Gonchar (67, 67, 65)
Phaneuf (60, 50, 49)
Hainsey (39, 34, 32)
Oduya (29, 26, 21)
Methot (23, 17, 15)

Craig Anderson (38, 33, 31 wins)

Plus all the homegrown talent, it's surpriing that we didn't win a few Cups...

Maybe we don't need drafting that much :sarcasm:

I don’t think he would have “accepted” a real trade here.
