Scoring at an insane pace. Wonder how long it'll take for him to get his first assist. Tough ask though given his team seems to pretty inept offensively apart from him.

Kravtsov is playing with Sedlak and Hula, who are Traktor best players, Sedlak set their franchise record last year, it is not like he is playing with some scraps

Last year was rough for him. Bouncing between NA and the KHL. Not really settling in anywhere. Hopefully he continues to have success this year and puts last year behind him.

This is a kid who'd be most teams' #1 prospect, and here we are with Lafreniere and Kakko completely overshadowing him. What a blessing. Hope he can make it at the NHL level.
No, he would not be on MOST teams.

He's a good prospect, though.

most publications had him as a top 5 prospect outside the NHL, with Button ranking him the top one just a little over a year ago.

I believe he just had a bad year adjusting to another culture, esp the culture inside the Ranger's org. He will rebound this year and regain the confidence he lost. He's flying out of the gate now.

To complete my answer, here are the current drafted prospects I'd take before Kravtsov right now (less than 50 NHL games played).

The only team that had no prospect I'd rather have is SJ (Merkley? Meh). I put an asterisk where I feel it's debatable.

Still, that makes 30 teams with prospects I consider superior or close to Kravtsov.

Don't get me wrong, I had him in my top 10 last summer as well after his rookie camp. Let's just say he took a big step back.

Cheers!

Their are a ton more of these that are debatable. As a Rangers fan Lundqvist is debatable, and I love Lundqvist. Don’t have the time right now to go down the list one by one but just the first two skaters are highly debatable. I would imagine most people have Kravtsov higher than Podkolzin. Kravtsov has more goals in the first 6 games this year than Podkolzin has in his career in the KHL.

Podkolzin is 19... and a better prospect. He will play in the NHL 100%, high floor. At worst a great 3rd liner with an awesome motor.

Kravtsov has a big bust potential IMO... But he's still a good prospect, like I said.

I just don't agree that half the teams don't have a better prospect than him.

I think it's a fair assessment.

I would take around 20 over Kravtsov from your list (and I am a Rangers fan). Having said that if Kravtsov continues to play like he has early on in the KHL season this list should be revisited for sure lol. At 20 years old is he basically the entire teams offense right now. The talent is definitely there 100 percent its just a matter of him fitting into the top 6 somehow when he comes back to the NHL because I don't see him as a 4th liner or even bottom 6 guy at all.

Kravtsov is 20 at 19 Kravtsov had a season under his belt with 21 points in the KHL. Pods had 8. Pods is getting benched in the third period of games right now he is not a safe prospect. You can think he is better that is fine but putting no argument better is the problem. Along with about half the list. I have no problem with you thinking they are better but definitive statements are the problem. Like Podkolzin is a better prospect. Says who?

No, he would not be on MOST teams.

He's a good prospect, though.

I went through each teams prospects and there were about 6 teams where Kravtsov would clearly be the top prospect and about 6 teams that he would clearly not be the top prospect. The rest were at least somewhat debatable.

That is because you are a Rangers fan.

I seriously doubt most teams do not have at least one better prospect than Kravtsov at this point. Otherwise most NHL teams are doing something wrong.
