No, but It happened during a scrum in front of the net. The ref was in the middle of things and Gunler pushed him from behind so he fell.

If he was a NA player he would be praised for playing with a chip on his shoulder.

No, doing things like that will lead teams to dig deeper and see the validity in it. But, actions like that will absolutely get you on no-draft lists. Laine had some similar incidents, but was pretty clean his last 2 years pre-draft so it was forgotten. But, it will definitely invite investigations and tough questions by scouting staffs.

Seems like he could be a chippy player. Teams like to have those prospects so it'll be interesting to see where he gets picked.
Exactly, for a game where huge guys run over each other, and the occasional fistfight is thrown in. It's been stripped down of players with character, they are all betas in Alpha body now. Lindros would be on x amount of no draft list if his draft was this era.

Gunler will have some tough competition this season. Has a good shot now that Larsson is out for three months though

This could get really interesting, as long as coach ”Bulan” Berglund affords him the minutes. Which isn’t a given, I think he knows what he wants out of his players and can’t be handing out any special favors, especially in this upcoming season with so many forwards competing.
I think how it all will play out is that Gunler will start out the season on the fourth line or even as 13th fwd, and has to earn his minutes from there. Even if he shines in certain aspects, the coach will want him to show he’s improving his overall game and commits to playing like he expects his top forwards to. If Gunler ends up playing >5 minutes a game, maybe even thrown in as a PP specialist kind of like Harju ended up last season, I think Gunler will be spending most of his time, and probably be better off playing in the J20.
But having Gunler on a line with a shifty, creative winger like Einar Emanuelsson and whoever centers it in the abscence of Lundeström should be an exciting watch, if he gets there. He’d have to hustle hard to fit on that line and if he makes it, then I think we’re in for a treat and can start projecting his ceiling for real. And I figure, as Larsson has been the go-to sniper on that line, that Gunler should at least get a try-out given his upsides.
I’m sooo looking forward to this SHL season, so much talent in it.

Sadly he’s being placed on the fourth line tonight against Skellefteå. Hate to see Bulan going with the least skilled forward in the league - Fabricius - on the top line with Kovacs & Olausson.
Use these games to give him a real shot.
Luleå is going to play with four even lines this season. Next week Ilomäki is back from injury and Gunler will probably be paired with him.

I think Bulan wants to know if Fabricius can maintain the chemistry and put up the numbers he had with those guys last winter. It worked out really well and it saved Fabricius’ career, I think. I guess I could see Gunler on Olausson’s wing eventually, especially on the PP, but it’s not my first guess.
Ilomäki would be interesting. Any line besides the one with Mattsson and Berglund.
Luleås assistant coach Henrik Stridh (and team Swedens U20 assistant coach) said this about Gunler today.
"- Gunler has fantastic skills, a skilled player who knows where the goal is. Then he has to learn other parts of the game as well. We will see him this winter as well. He has played all the training matches and made it okay. An exciting player. He is still very young."
